Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

In 1987 I was arrested for petty theft. I had never been in trouble before that or since then. I was recently turned down for a job due to that incident. Would it be beneficial to me to my record expunged? If so, How can I do it & how much does it cost? If expunged can it still appear on a background check? Help & Thanks!!

You may qualify to seal the record. I would need to know more about the case. My fee is 1000.00 to handle the entire matter which usually requires appearing in court. Please give me a call if you are interested.

If adjudication was withheld and you have not been convicted of any criminal charge then you will be eligible to seal your record. Once sealed you will be able to lawfully deny that you were ever arrested. However, there are limited exceptions which require disclosure and it is necessary to notify third party data brokers post sealing to make sure that your record does not show up on a background checks. We handle sealing and expungements statewide. Call with any questions. Costs-$150. Fees-$600 ($300 initial and $300 upon receipt of your Certificate of Eligibility from FDLE 60-120 days later).
