Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I know someone that is 21 and charged with the following: S790.23(1)(B) POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY ADJUDICATED DELINQUENT (2ND DEGREE FELONY) and S741.31(4)(A) VIOLATION OF INJUNCTION FOR PROTECTION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. What kind of jail time should he expect? Would it be jail or prison? He has a little past with the law but it was all when he was under 18.

There will be a minimum mandatory term of three years, but it could be up to 16 years in prison. His sentence will depend primarily on the sentencing scoresheet and the judge and prosecutor involved. The sentencing scoresheet depends on many factors that should be taken up with his attorney.
