Without a lot more info., no one can tell you much. Have you been to court yet? Has the Assistant State Attorney given you an offer to plead to?

It will be VERY significant to a sentence if you do or don't have a prior criminal record. If you have no record and there is some restitution to be made, you may get an offer of probation and a withhold of adjudication of guilt (which is not a conviction).

If you have prior felonies, they may want some jail time. Another possibility is the State has a weak case and will give you a very reas. offer. It may also be that you can beat this and don't have to plead to anything.

As you see, there are a lot of factors that need more info. to give a decent legal opinion. You should have competent legal counsel. If you need help in North Fla., just give my office a call or write. Good luck. Tom Rosenblum
