I was pulled over due to a passenger in my vehicle throwing out an Ice tea canister and what appeared to an officer as a beer can, there were a total of 4 occupants in the vehicle including myself, the driver. Officer stated he saw beer can, advised not so, ice tean, and aplogized for the passenger throwing it out the window. I thought we would recieve simple littering ticket, that was not the case. Officer asked to search car, and i advised he cannot, he asked why if theres nothing to hide, again advised no. Then he called K9 unit, asked me to step out, searched me, and nothing was found. Pulled passenger out and found marijuana on him, and then search vehicle and found a bag of marijuana that i had no knowledge of which was in the driver side pocket, the passenger admitted the marijuana was his, both the marijuana found on him and in the vehicle, office still took me in for possesion. Officer ignored repeated statements by passenger advising he had drove car earlier and forget a bag of marijuana in the driver side pocket, yet officer did not listen to him and did not write it in report. Any way to retrieve audio from the police car? And now passenger states he is on probation. What to do!?
