Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
in 2007 while working as a cashier I would steal money. I stopped working there around September of 2007. Since I left that company I have never been contacted about the stolen money. I have never been sued over it or anything. I don't believe I have warrants or anything because since then I have had a couple traffic tickets and have even obtained a CCW and I know they both check for those. Can I still be pursued about this after this long. What would the statue of limitations be. Thanks for your help.

You should be fine. The statute of limitations is 5 years on a theft anyway. However, to be sure, you should contact the sheriff's office to see if there are any outstanding warrants on you, or you could contact a bondsman and they can check as well.
