Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Hello, I am a 19 year old college student and last night a friend and I were issued citations for possession of marijuana under 20 grams. We were not arrested and are both first time offenders. I have to appear in front of a judge next month and though I have done research on the topic I am not sure what to realistically expect. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are several possibilities. Anything from diversion to a year in jail with a one year license suspension. The fact that you are under 21 makes matters worse since the judge will not be happy. You need to get an attorney in your area that handles these cases and can fight this for you. They can also see what defenses you may have.
