Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I am a 23 year old community college student. When I was 18, I made some poor choices when it came to friends and I was charged with a felony, Accessory after the Fact. I would like to get this off my record, so that I can apply to a university. Which is better, expunged or sealed? And how do I start this process? My ajudication was withheld, and I have successfully completed my probation. My probation officer is willing to write me a letter of reccomendation.

First, congratulations on getting your life back on track. Sealing/expunging your record will make a huge difference when it comes time to job search.

Secondly, you will need to get your record sealed before it can be expunged. You can do it yourself but an experienced criminal defense attorney is often a better bet as he/she will be able to look at your case, determine if you qualify and give you the guidance you need.
