Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My 17 year old nephew gave a kiss to a soon to be 16 year old (2 weeks) at a school event; she is a friend and when they hug he gave her a kiss on the neck; she did not say anything to him when it happened they continue to speak via chat now her mother went to school an got him in trouble with the principle. He is a good kid never had a problem and is in ROTC and Magnet program. He was being consider for court commander (ROTC) but apparently he is going to be suspended and maybe other consequences. How do we address this issue and can he be arrested any legal consequences?

His actions certainly weren't criminal. You can address this with a civil Attorney that knows school issues to see if anything can be done to the school civilly.
