Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
i am 18 years old and my boyfriend just got home from serving two tours in iraq. he and i went to dinner at a local bar and eatery and he ordered a drink. about 20 mintues later a group of our friends joined us and we all shifted chairs to make room. in the process i ended up with my boyfriends drink infront of me for several minutes. i never touched the drink. durring the time the drink was infront of me an officer that works with ATF approached me and told me he "knew" it was mine and that i was being issued a written arrest. i signed the paper because i didnt not know it was an admission of guilt, i thought it was like a speeding ticket. I am a certified security officer and i was just accepted into the police acedemy, i am a upstanding citizen and my boyfriend tried to explain to the officer that it was his drink but there was understanding. any advice? should i persue it in court? i dont want a record...

Signing the paper was not an admission of guilt but just a promise to appear in court. That said, this is probably a criminal ordinance violation that will end up on your record. You need to fight this and you need to get an attorney. There's too much at stake here for you.
