Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I am 17 years old and female, my best friend is 13. her parents have asked us not to talk because i am an adult but i have a good 5 months until i am 18, they have kept calling and IMing me threating me and i am afraid they'll show up at my house. if they show up do i have the right to call the cops? also can they do anything such as get me in trouble for talking to an 13 year old even if talking is all we do? we're not dating or anything that has to do with that. Am i safe legally or should i worry? and can i charge them with harassment?

You have the right to associate with whomever you choose. That said, your parents and your friend's parents have the right to set rules that you must obey. Unless you and your friend are doing something illegal, they can't "legally" forbid communication, but as the parents of the 13 year old they have the right to choose how they raise their child which could include forbidding contact with you.
