Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I'm 23 years old and made a huge mistake to shoplift earrings at Kohls for $28. Iv'e never been arrested or even had a speeding ticket but I also don't have enough money to hire a lawyer. My court date is in a couple weeks and I have no idea what to expect or what to say. I've also gotten a letter from the law offices of Michael Ira Asen that says I have to pay $200 in recovery pay. I just feel so lost with what I'm supposed to do about all of this...I do want to take responsibility for my bad decision but I am extremely uneducated in this issue since it has never happened to me before. I could really use some advice, Thanks.

The best advice I can give is to CALL an attorney. Most will give you a free consultation. You are facing up to a year in jail so you can't expect to get complete answers on a forum such as this. That is why you should call and sit down with an attorney to see the best way to handle your case.
