Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My 17 yr old son went to a party where everyone was arrested. He along with most others was told by two boys by text to meet everyone at a coffee shop and then they would go to the party from there. When they took everyone to the party it turned out that the party had been set up in a building they weren't suppose to be in. It was clear people had been hanging out there and there was damage like holes in walls. He walked in the door with everyone else..lights were on and party already set up. Everyone at the party was arrested but so far the state attorney has only called for my son to come in for intake assessment. His proposed charges are burg of unoccupied building unarmed, destruction of property 1000 or more and possession of alcohol. My question is...aren't they required to investigate and charge each kid with what they were actually responsible for? I feel like they just pulled his name out of the pile without asking who did what...

Talking to your son is part of the investigation. They should do as full an investigation as possible but they don't always to that. Before your son does anything else he needs to get an attorney, especially before talking to the state or police.
