accused of selling pot

how much trouble are you in if you are caught selling pot? its under 21 grams its 14 and its my first time in trouble with drugs.

Hello: I just read your question. Since I do not know all of the facts herein, this is not a formal legal opinion, but rather a discussion of general legal principles.

If you are a juvenile, with no priors, the Court will be very lenient. The same goes if you are an adult. However, I can be more specific for the latter situation. Basically, you could fight the case if the facts allow for that. For example, it may entail an illegal search and seizure. If so, you file a motion to suppress the evidence. There may be some other reason to fight the case. You should consult an atty.

You may just want to enter a plea. Up here in North Fla. the State attorney and the Judges would usually only ask for court costs for a first offense. You should ask for adjudication of guilt to be withheld. This means it would NOT actually be a conviction. 'Hope this helps. Tom Rosenblum

sale of marijuana is a felony, so ita serious. amount doesnt matter. hire a lawyer.
