Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I'm being accused of stealing wire from behind a business. I have no criminal background. I'm unemployed at the moment. The detective said I could arrange to be arrested away from house(so my kids don't see me) or he issues an arrest warrant & I turn myself in. How do I fight these charges?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Hire a criminal defense attorney. The attorney can review the evidence and help determine whether the State can meet their burden to prove their allegation. The attorney can also help assist you with the preparations of any defenses that might be available. It is impossible to know how to fight these charges without knowing any more of the facts of the case, the witnesses the state has, or how they intend to prove their case. So for now, hire yourself an attorney who will be able to review all of the reports and evidence in preparation for your case.
