Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
does adjudication withheld robbery by sudden snatching ever come off your record. my lawyer was telling me it doesnt.. and that was all the state was offering me.. i could no longer do a plea bargain because i was not found to be insane at teh time of the crime.. i really want my record clear

Unless you have been convicted of anything else, I think you can still get this sealed (but I'm honestly not sure because your charge does not appear to be an offense that is prevented from being sealed, although I know that "robbery" is listed as an offense that IS ineligible to be sealed). Since I don't know the facts of your case, I can't advise on whether you should take the deal or not, but a withhold of adjudication is usually a good deal worth considering.
Robbery by sudden snatching is still a robbery and therefore ineligible for sealing. The withhold of adjudication is a really great thing because that means a person isn't a convicted felon. But robbery charges are not eligible for sealing and that means it won't ever clear off a person's record, even with the withhold.
