Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

When I agreed to my plea bargain to be on the sex offender registry you could petition the courts after 20 years. Since that time they have changed it to 25 years. My question is do I have to wait the 25 years?

You SHOULD be eligible after 20 years since that is what it was when you were sentenced. I say should because sometimes the legislature, the police, and the criminal justice system get it wrong.
