If the luggage was stolen while in the care and custody of the airline, they are responsible but their liability is limited by the amounts stated on the face of the ticket or the ticket jacket. If the luggage was lost or stolen while in the airport while in your care, custody and control, there is nobody to blame but yourself. Neither the airline nor the airport will be responsible.
