Re: appeal

If your nephew was just found guilty of conspiracy, first thing I would need to help you is to send me an email telling me what crime exactly he was convicted of(There are a variety of conspiracy crimes) In addition, since you nephew has not yet been sentenced he has the right to file motions to set aside his conviction prior to sentencing. Which if there are any grounds to do so, I would advise you have an attorney review this alternative immediately beause the standard of appellate court in reviewing your nephews conviction would be very limited and in many cases which appeal a conviction are affirmed by the appellate court. However, depending on the facts of the case your nephew might be able to remain free while the dis decided depending on the circumstances. The appeal must be filed 30 days after the sentence(he should not wait to the last day) In order to discuss this in greater detail, write me an email or call me at my office.
