Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I have an arrest warrant in Florida for absconding probation on a charge of Scheme to Defraud Less Than 20,000$. I incurred the charge in 1998, completed 2/3 of my probation, and have been in no legal trouble since. What are my options, and should I expect jail time?

When you were placed on probation, it was in lieu of jail. A judge always has the right to put you in jail for a violation. Whether or not you go to jail will depend upon the nature of the crime, prior record, record since you were sentenced and the recommendations of the probation officer and state attorney. It may also depend on how good of an attorney you have. I recommend you consult one ASAP.
