Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
i was arrested on aug 3 2012 for possession of drug paraphenalia and booked into the co. jail. i bonded out the next day and today sept 25 2012 i recieved a letter from the court that i had to appear in court on oct. 9 2012 thats over 60 days from the time i was arrested. is there a time limit when a court has to have you arraigned before a judge? i live in florida and the charge is out of bradford county florida

They have 90 days on a misdemeanor to bring you to trial. You could be arraigned on day 89 and have trial set the next day theoretically. However, there are certain discovery limitations and due process issues. You need to get an attorney in your area to help you out with this.
