Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
i was arrested but no charges on criminal record
I was arrested for shoplifting twice(2006, 2007). The first time the charge was noli, the second time the charge was withhold (the exact term was withhold adjudication of guilt). I applied for an expungment for the first one, it was approved by the FDLE, but it had said that according to their system, the charge didn't exist. Then i did a background on myself through the local police dept, the county sheriff, and FDLE, nothing came up. Why is that? (not complaining, just curious) Is there something i am not seeing, that higher government agency have access to?
I am about to apply for professional school, and was wondering how should i answer when asked have i been committed of a crime, or have i been arrested before? If i say no to both, should i be worried that the schools might be able to do more indepth checks, and realize i was arrested before?
I don't want to say anything thats unnecessary, but still want to be truthful about it. Don't want to get in PA or medical school, and get expelled for not being truthful. I apologize for the long winded question, and i appreciate your response. Thank you!

Re: i was arrested but no charges on criminal record
If you were arrested and the arrest was not expunged, you will need to answer truthfully on any application. I cant answer why your arrest fails to appear on any background search unless it was never turned over the the state or clerk.
