Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I was arrested feb. 1 2012 for having an empty pill bottle that was prescribed to my girlfriend, while I was driving her car, registered in her name with a lot of her possessions in it. I was 35 and had never had any kind of encounter with law enforcement. Not even a speeding ticket. I spent one night in jail. And was bonded out. When my court date arrived, I had to pay over 1,000 and had one year to pay it off. Since I had no Prior charges I didn't have any jail time or probation. But I was baffled when recently I reviewed my court docket for the case and it says I was charged with possession of methamphetamines. As well it says I spent months in jail, getting time served. And it is making me look like a convicted felon, and impossible to find a decent job. Please help

You should talk to an attorney in your area to investigate what happened. It could be a simple clerical error, for example. If it is as charged, then you can also ask the attorney if you are eligible to get the charge sealed.
