Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I was arrested for less than 20 grams of cocaine less than 20 grams of marijuana and Possession of paraphenalia for the bag the marijuana was in.

Also there was several hundred dollars seized in my arrest. The cocaine charge was dropped because there was none adjudicated guilty on the marijuana.

It took over a year to drop the case. I have since been incarcerated for completely unrelated charges was there for a year and a half. I am now out and would like to get my money back. So my question is how do I go about doing so. And thank you for your time.

A lot depends on what the police did with the funds. Were they subject to forfeiture? Was the money part of the evidence of guilt? I suggest you call an attorney in your area to see if a motion to return the funds is necessary or sometimes a simple phone call.
