Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I was arrested for a habitual dwls- my last one was in 2002,8 yrs ago....is there statue of limitations? can my driving record from 8yrs ago be held against me? to my understanding it has to be 3 dwls in a five yr period to be a felony.....but right now I am being charged with a felony

A third DWLS is a felony no matter when it happens, although the state doesn't have to charge it as a felony. The 3 within 5 is in order to avoid habitualization.
