Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I was arrested for knowingly giving false information on a police report and at the arraingment I pleaded not guilty but told me I could plead guilty or no contest but I would have to spend 180 days in jail. They also told me I couldnt get a public defender because others involved already had a court appointed attorney. What is the possible outcome of this?

There is nothing that says you "have" to spend 180 days in jail for this crime. You need an attorney. Even if the elected public defender cannot be appointed because of conflict, they can still appoint you a private public defender. If you cannot afford an attorney, apply for the public defender. It is up to the court then to find you a non-conflicted attorney.
