Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I got arrested on October 4, 2007 in Miami, FL. My charges were BURGLARY/UNOCC CONVY, GRAND THEFT 3RD DEGREE and CRIMINAL MISCHIEF/1000+, I had a public defender and when i went to court they told me i had to do 100 community service hours and pay 1000$ in restitution in a period of 6 months for the charges to be dropped. I did everything they told me to do and after i was done with everything I expunged my record. I haven't been in trouble since then. I am trying to join the Army National Guard and i can not join with felony charges and they have to be dropped to misdemeanor. I went to court and requested to talk to the judge about it, they gave me a court date and I am going with my recruiter that has been my friend since high school so he could talk to the judge about it. Is it possible they could drop those charges to misdemeanor?

It's possible but unlikely. However, it can't hurt to ask.
