Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
If I was arrested for an outstanding warrant for an aggravated battery charge. and the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence (I was not mentioned by any witness and was only accused in 1 sentence in the police report), do I have any chance of recovering the $6,000+ in expenses, the loss of my job, and the 8 days served in jail!?

No, I would not think so.

Probably not, unless the person that caused your arrest did so with malice, in which case there is a possibility of a malicious prosecution claim. That however requires a very specific type of fact pattern, so you should consult a local civil attorney for more information.
