Monday March 10,2014 I had to pick jury on my own. Can I get time to hire a lawyer and/or get a new court appointed lawyer so I won't have to proceed on my own?

Maybe. It sounds like there was a conflict that you may have been unaware of and it would be unfair to make a newly appointed attorney go to trial with short notice. Of course, if you can afford an attorney then you should get one. If you can't afford one AND the PD has a conflict, then the judge MUST appoint a new attorney. Since this was posted on the early morning hours of your trial, I hope this answers your question in time.
