Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
can someone be arrested and put into jail for hearsay no evidence at all just one persons word against anothers? one person saying the other has a stolen gun but the other does not have the gun and never has can they still be put in jail

That's not necessarily hearsay. ALL trials are one person's word against another. A jury decides if they are telling the truth or not and give a verdict based on that and other evidence, if any. Your attorney can explain whether certain evidence would be admitted as hearsay, and if you don't have an attorney, then you have no business going to trial.
