Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Arson

My brother has been accussed of arson since he was riding with a teenager near a car burning. He was stopped by an undercover police officer who interrogated them and arrested them for arson. My brother did not want to cooperate and was booked. The juvenile was interrogated by police officers and stated that he and my brother with two other friends burned the car. My brother did not want to cooperate with the investigation so it looks like the officers made a deal with the juvenile and are going after my brother and want to give him a 2 year sentence. He has no criminal records and the juvenile has a long profile of criminal activities. Should we get a lawyer? and who do you recommend? We have very little finances to make payments for a lawyer but we are willing to do whatever is best for him?

Re: Arson

You should definitely seek legal counsel. If you "shop around" you will find varying fees quoted. Be sure that whomever you retain has the trquisite knowledge and experience to represent your brother.

It is not proper to make any referrals on this service so I will not do so.
