assault battery

i went to jail on assault battery and i got out on (release on recognizance bond) ask what does that mean ^^??? and i had to go to PP court where the judge is on tv and the person who had call the assault came to court and testify. ask do i still need a lawyer??? ask can i just appear in court with just me???

ROR means that you were released without having to post a money bond; you are just promising to appear in court. You do have the right to defend yourself, but as the old saying goes, 'the man that defends himslef has an idiot for a client.' It's just too risky to defend yourself in a d.v. case.
