assault/attempt
How crucial is it to have an eye witness place the convicted to the crime scene such as a little boy being stabbed in his head and back by two teenagers. How much would this matter if the vitmim survived from this?

If the victim survived the stabbing and can identify the attackers, then he's probably a pretty good eyewitness, and his testimony is probably crucial to the case. Jurors like to hear from eyewitnesses.
