Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Attempt to Defraud
My husband was charged for a business acct that was in the negative with the bank. He was arrested and posted out. He was given a court dates to repay the amount back but was not able to pay all of it back. He has to go back to court in 2 weeks and possibly facing time if amount is not paid in full. Can we ask for more time or will we have to take what is given? He has never been in trouble with the law before, nor did we hire a lawyer. He was given 90 days to pay back the amount. What can we do from here?

Re: Attempt to Defraud
You need to talk to a lawyer in person, whether it be a private lawyer or public defender. From your question I dont know exactly, if anything he agreed to, so I cant say what your next move is.
