Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Attempted assault with a deadly weapon at the workplace
I work in an office building for an attorney another one of the paralegals has been verbally ridiculing me for almost 2 years. she has thrown objects at me and most recently said she would shoot me and showed me the weapon she carries in the office. I wanted to know if besides the criminal aspect of it, if there is any monetary value to this potential claim?

Yes, Florida law provides a civil remedy for all criminal actions. By the way, showing someone a gun and, at the same time, threatening them with that gun carries a three-year minimum mandatory if you wanted to report it. May be a good way to get rid of someone you really shouldn't be working around!
