Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Is my attorney being honest ref discovery?

I was charged with a white collar crime, grand theft over $20,000.The entire case against me is based on the CAD records and time cards. It took me weeks to go through all the evidence.I made notes of all the mistakes of bad math and inconsistencies. When I did the math it all turned out in favor of me.I gave all this information to my attorney. He said I did a good job.Without asking me first he later turned all my research over to the prosecutor in hopes of a settlement for me to accept a second degree felony with no jail time.I was very upset for what he had done. After several months of continuances for the prosecutor they come up with a new report. It has corrected all their mistakes and are now going after me with possibly additional evidence. My attorney now tells me that my research of the evidence against me, CAD records & time cards, is ''discovery'' and that we are required to turn it over to the prosecutor. I dont't believe my attorney is being truthful with me about that since the prosecutor already had the material.I just showed all the mistakes. Are my corrections really ''discovery''? My attorney has really tried to get me to plead out.I want to go to trial.I found discrepencies in the new report my atty didn't look for.

anything you would use at trial is discoverable, but not he conversations you have with your lawyer as they are privileged. it sounds to me like your attorney just made a strategic error but probably acted in good faith. if you don't like the work of your lawyer, hire another. it will be too late if you are convicted and sitting in prison.
