Is there a timeframe once a new attorney is appointed a case to meet his client for the first time in jail

No, there is no timeframe. It is up to the individual attorney. Generally, an attorney will want to meet his or her client as soon as practicable in order to discuss the case and properly prepare for trial. Some attorneys can represent you well with little advance preparation. Speak with the attorney and discuss your thoughts.
