Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

In Aug. 2006, my wife told the police that I hit her and had me arrested for domestic battery. The next day, she admitted to me, my kids and possibly her sister that she lied about it. I had to pay $1040 for an intervention class and $500 for probation and cannot get a good job because it shows up on a bacground check. I've been turned down by many well paying jobs because of this. Can I sue her or have her arrested for this?

It sounds like you pled or was convicted at trial since you had to do the BIP class and was put on probation. Did she admit that it was a lie before or after you were sentenced? You may be able to file a motion to vacate the sentence and withdraw the plea based on newly discovered exculpatory evidence. You may have a lawsuit against her for defamation and false imprisonment. Likewise, if you can provide the evidence to the police she could be arrested for filing a false police report.
