Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Back in September of 2011 my home was burglerized by two 14 year old boys. When we went to court, in January 2012, they pled guilty and both were ordered to pay restitution. I am now being told that the juvilniles, now 15 year old, are the ones that are suppose to pay me back. My qquestion is, How do the courts think 2 15 year olds are suppose to pay me back since they arent even old enough to get a job? Is this basiclly the courts telling me to fix everything myself and get over it? I am a single mother of 4 and cant afford to fix everything that they broke. And honestly I dont know why the parents are not responsible for their childrens behavior. I know if they dont pay I cant sue them since they are under age. What do I do?

You can sue them. It may end up being that the parents would pay, but there is nothing stopping you from suing a minor. However, this is not a criminal question, so you should talk to an attorney that does civil law suits to find out your best option.
