Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
is this bad on background checks
6 years ago I received a ticket for a city ordinance and the ticket was supposed to be paid through my ex-employer..which it was not and I found out about it over a year later. I then turned myself in in another county and paid the ticket. This is not a misdemeanor or felony but will it show up on a background check? and if it does can I explain it?

Re: is this bad on background checks
in palm beach county for example, all violations of city ordinances are considered 2nd degree misdemeanors by statutue. so while you can say its an ordinance, its really a misdemeanor. all arrests show on your record forever. id explain it just the way you have.
