Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I am a band leader who paid a singer with a personal check for a performance in Aug. 2014. The check was physically cashed at the time and the amount debited from my account. Last week the same exact check was deposited electronically and again debited from my account. Conclusion, the person took a picture of the check before cashing it and now 7 months later submitted it again electronically. The bank will credit the amount back to me. Still, I don't feel it's right that the culprit should go completely unpunished. What are my options?
