if someone is guilty of battery domestic, what is meant by degree of crime being 1m?

1st Degree Misdameanor which is punishable up to a maximum of 1 year county jail, 1 year probation, $1,000 fine. Additionally, you could be sentenced to community service, counseling restrictions on victim contact or returning to a mutually shared residence, etc.

It means its a first degree misdemeanor, punishable in Florida by up to one year in the county jail or one year probation + fines and court costs.
