I have been pulled over before and was informed by a Sherriff local but want to make sure I mean I know the old warrant will come up but will they say the same as the officer "you should get that fixed"......was not detained...at that time... need to know for sure someone please help me out if you can... thank you Greg

You MIGHT get extradited. It's up to Florida if they choose to, although that does not mean the warrant goes away. It only means you don't get extradited from SC on that particular day. In fact, it never goes away until you "fix" the problem.
You've got another issue though. If you have a domestic violence charge on your record, under federal law, you are forever forbidden from possessing a firearm anyway. In other words you can not buy a gun legally. If you're caught, then you will face federal illegal possession of a firearm charge, and you face up to 10 years in prison in most cases.
