What has to be done to clear up a failure to appear/misdemeanor bench warrant in the State of Florida?

The first thing that you should attempt to do is call the clerk's office tin the jurisdiction that has issued the bench warrant, and see if you can appear or simply pay a fee to have the bench warrant set aside. Typically you will need a valid reason why you missed your court appearance, and the judge can set the warrant aside after you appear and get a new court date.
Unfortunately, you risk the possibility of being put in jail once you appear, that is why the best remedy is to hire a compentent criminal attorney that can make the proper motions to set aside the warrant without your appearance.
