Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Took the blame, but it was not mine.
I was sitting in my house one day with my roommates and the
cops came to the door saying that someone was smoking marijuana around my roommates child. They asked could they take a look around and I said, ''yes'' while looking, they found some marijuana in a ashtray and started to be very rude to us, they were using foul language and told us that someone better tell them who it belongs to or they are going to take everyone in. no one else would take the blame so i said it was mine even though it was not. I did not want my friend to lose her child. Come to find out it was her boyfriends. should i plead not guilty in court or no contest?

Re: Took the blame, but it was not mine.
Plead not guilty and get a lawyer. If you are convicted of possession of marijuana, your driver's license will be suspended for 2 years, along with a fine, probation, and possible jail time. Don't try to handle this alone. If you want to discuss it further, you can call me toll free at (877) 993-1700.
