Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
bond revocation
We posted bond for an individual that we did not know was not a US citizen. He has since been sent to Miami for deportation. If I write a letter to the Judge with this information, we he refund the bond? Also, could you let me know how to write the letter.

Re: bond revocation
You can likely get your "cash" bond back but not by contacting the judge. Contact the jail where you posted the bond and you can "come off the bond" since you posted the bond. By sodoing, the individual will remain in custody on the charge and your bond will be discharged and returned.
