Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I did a book signing and sale at a not for profit organization banquet and made 3K from it, the members of the organization now tell me they want 25% or 750.00 bucks but I never signed a contract stating that I would do so. I also volunteered there and some of their clients that walked in have bought the book without any coercion from me other than my sales pitch. They, the organization has solicited statements from the clients and are now stating that I got more than just 20.00 bucks for my book but each of the six people state different amounts. I feel as though I am being railroaded or extorted, what do you think? Everybody out to get something for nothing it seems

What's the reason for their claim? I don't understand. Did you agree to split the take with them?
