Your boyfriend was arrested as a principal to the robbery charge. His best course of action is to present evidence, through counsel, that contradicts the seventeen year old's claim. In the meantime he should not, and you should not, discuss the factual circumstances of this matter with anyone, especially over a telephone call to or from the jail.

I would get an experienced criminal attorney ASAP. Robbery is a serious charge that could land your boyfriend in prison (even as a principal).
