Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
ok me and my boyfriend got into a fight and the neighbors called the law and i was already at my house and they arrested him already without me there because they found a knife and anyway long story short i had a warrant at the time so i was scared and just kinda went along with what they said and thought happened and wrote a statement and sighned and now i want to drop charges but they said not until tommorow at the states attorneys office i dont want to get into trouble or have to continue in court can i just go and tell them all i want is to drop all charges and not have to say anything else

You can tell them but they are not obligated to abide by your wishes. I would suggest you do this through your boyfriend's attorney so that you don't potentially face charges for false police report. You have to be very careful and may want to even consider getting an attorney for yourself.
