my boyfriend is in for
VOP-AGGRAVATED ASSAULT that happen 5 years ago he was on probation and he broke it 3 times the last time he went to court that said then where going to give him 3 years but they gave probation again so how long do you thank he will get he has a year and a 1/2 served and he been in jail now for a week and a day thanks

It is hard to say what he could get. What I can tell you is that he is facing the statutory maximum for the crime for which he was on probation. For an aggravated assault, which is a third degree felony, the statutory maximum is 5 years in state prison. What he will actually be sentenced to depends on many things, including the nature of his violation. For instance, if it was a failure to pay money, the Judge will likely be more lenient than if he violated by picking up a new charge.
