Brother and friend in need of help!
Hello,
My brother was arrested yesterday and charged with Grand theft and Burglary unequipped. He has a past history of theft and he has been in house arrest on probation and all of that. The police arrested him for a stolen dog which his friend confest to robbing the house where the dog came from not my brother. But the dog was in my brothers house when the police went to search his house without a warrent he never though that this could happen over a dog he even gave consent to search the house Dosen't that prove that he did not know that the dog was stollen. The last thing he thaought was that the dog was going to give him any problems I would just like to know what might happen to him, will he do anytime? I would like some advice. His friend is 16 and has been arrested before but he confest to robbing at least 6 homes he is a juvinel what will happen to him ? Thank you for everything especally your time.

Re: Brother and friend in need of help!
It all depends.... on who his lawyer is, what his record is like, and who the State Attorney is. My guess would be that he is looking at some kind of probation. BUT if what you say is correct he might have a defense to the crimes charged. DO NOT PLEA to crime that you have not done!! Get him the best attorney you can afford, and try to fight for the best deal possible, including a dismissal. GOOD LUCK !
